I'm traveling this week, so I'll keep this short and sweet. Didn't lose, didn't gain. Not bad considering I've not exercised at all since we left Tucson. Hopefully next week will be better.

This was the first week of my new plan, and it went... okay. Biked about 22 miles this week, but Kerri and I weren't good about our nightly walks, mostly because of the weather. I was biking with
Elway so he could get some exercise as well, but he keeps trying to kill me so my rides should be increasing in effectiveness and intensity.
Overall this week saw a loss of 3 lbs, which is a start. Next week is going to be a real challenge, since Kerri and I will be traveling to Canada so an exercise regimen and healthier eating will be hard to maintain. I'm not even sure I'll be able to get to a scale. But we'll work on it.

Okay, so
I get it.
Since I quit soccer in 2001 or so, I've gained a substantial amount of weight. I realize that it's my own doing and I've finally decided that I'm going to finally do something about it.
My
Body Mass Index is 29. An average weight would calculate as 18.5-24.9 BMI, overweight people fall in the 25-29.9 range, and a BMI of 30 or greater is considered obese. The proximity of my BMI to the obese range is of great concern to me. So, time to fix it. I will post regularly on this site as to provide a little peer pressure to keep going, unlike last time, where I got down to 159 lbs.
My goals are to get to 145 lbs, which would get me to a healthy 23.4 BMI. Not too lofty of an expectation, I hope.
So, here goes, my first entry. Onward and upward!
