Elway's visit to Agua Caliente Park Sunday, April 27, 2008 |
We went to Agua Caliente Park for the first time in forever today, for a BBQ with Steph and friends. It was freakin windy, which gave me one heck of a headache and wore me out. Elway behaved well, until we tied his leash around a tree and he saw another dog and he took off running after the other dog. He broke his collar (the snap broke) and hurt his paw. He's fine now, no worries! We're going to try to get back to the park on a nicer day :)

the phoenix zoo Monday, February 25, 2008 | We went to the Phoenix Zoo on Sunday. Neither of us had ever been there, so we thought it'd be fun. We were surprised at how big it was! We love the Tucson zoo, but compared to the Phoenix zoo, it's crap! The Phoenix zoo is very family-oriented, and the exhibits make you feel like you are in the animals' natural habitat. It is very similar to the London zoo. Bikes are allowed there, and you can rent bikes that can accommodate multiple people (whole families can fit on these things! it was very cool). The exhibits had little bios on all the animals, like they told you why the wolf only had three legs, and that the 2 very old rhinos had been together since early childhood and were there to retire. ![]() They're cleaning each other! Tucson Meet Yourself Friday, October 12, 2007 |
We went to "Tucson Meet Yourself" tonight, in downtown Tucson. We had a good time. The atmosphere is so fun. Jeff ate some Indian Fry bread with beans and cheese, and I had some beef on a stick, fried rice, and egg roles. Afterwards we got churros and fry bread with powdered sugar and honey. We love going just for the food! So good! And the musical acts are always fun. We watched a mariachi group, a "western" group, and an Indian "Bollywood" style dancing group. It's on all weekend, you should stop by!

Introducing ElwayCam 1.0 Sunday, October 07, 2007 | Kerri and I have decided that we wanted to keep an eye on the Elway the dog while we're at work. We started the ElwayCam 1.0 so we could access the image from our phones. You too can track every bowel movement, every drink of water, and every nap. Just click here to spy on our dog. Like George Bush. Jerks. Labels: Elway, goings-on, site info posted by Jeffry on Sunday, October 07, 2007
I'm so excited! Tuesday, July 17, 2007 |The Tour de France Friday, July 13, 2007 | I'm pretty sure my husband hates me this time of year. For three weeks every July I become obsessed with a little sporting event known as the Tour de France. While Jeffry likes to watch the finishes (and maybe some good crashes), I like to watch the whole stage in full. I find the team work just amazing. And the way the peloton moves together is beautiful some times; it looks as if it's been choreographed. The announcers are wonderful, and I learn something new from them every year. And the power that these cyclists have is unthinkable. Doping or not- I couldn't do it! I am enamored with the tour every summer.Labels: family, goings-on, news posted by Kerri on Friday, July 13, 2007
Independence Day 2007 Friday, July 06, 2007 |
I spent the fourth of July at La Paloma with Megan and the Kruszewski bunch. We had fun hanging out at the pool all day. The boys are getting so big, and Gabriel's just learning to swim. He's missing his two front teeth-very cute!

Poor Nova Sunday, May 06, 2007 |Our Nova was broken into this Friday night. They wrenched open the door and bent the frame. So now when the door is closed, the top part sticks out two inches. They tore out the stereo. And destroyed the molding all around it. They tried to steal the car, and tore off the horn (that's the horn lying on the floor in the picture). I don't understand people. I mean, it's not the nicest car, so why would you steal from people who are obviously not well-to-do? Jerks. Labels: annoyances, goings-on posted by Kerri on Sunday, May 06, 2007
Flickr madness Wednesday, March 28, 2007 | Those of you who keep tabs on our Flickr photos may have noticed that we have been "geotagging" photos to indicate in what city they were taken. See a map of our photos here. And no, I am not getting younger and losing weight. I simply stumbled upon some photos from before our digital camera days and uploaded them. You can view all of our sets here. posted by Jeffry on Wednesday, March 28, 2007
Mom's on the interwebs Thursday, March 15, 2007 |
My dear ol' mother now has a blog. Probably won't be too interesting since it will mostly be family-related content, but you can go over and enjoy the very, very pink layout. Welcome to the blogosphere, mother.

Site updates Tuesday, March 06, 2007 |
Those of you not viewing the site in an RSS reader will probably notice some minor changes to the layout of this site. I have added links to friends' sites (Aaron Gerdes, Kyle Harvey, Megan Mundle, Andres Martinez and John Jameson). If you are my friend and I've forgotten your link, please drop me a line and I'll be sure to add you as soon as possible.
Those of you who are reading the site in an RSS reader should take a look at the site and update your reader with the correct feed. I have updated the site to a FeedBurner-hosted file, which provides me with diagnostic information and whatnot so I would appreciate the courtesy of switching over to the new feed (accessible on the left). posted by Jeffry on Tuesday, March 06, 2007
Wii've been busy Saturday, February 24, 2007 | Oh, no! Too much time between blog posts!Kerri and her family bought me a Wii for my birthday, so we've been busy playing the console together and with friends. Kerri and I are particularly fond of the Virtual Console titles like the Original Mario Brothers and Mario Kart 64. Check the photos on Flickr! In other news, the '87 Nova has failed emissions not once, but twice. Kerri takes it in again today after some work done at Goodyear Gemini on Campbell and Fort Lowell. We're hoping to spend as little money as possible to make it pass, so it might take another test or two. Wish us luck! House-sitting Thursday, January 18, 2007 |
All. The. Freakin'. Time.
Kerri and I have been house-sitting for the past couple of weeks, and we're just about tired of it. It's not really all that bad, but I get a little homesick and would like to spend the time in our apartment (our TiVo'd shows aren't going to watch themselves). One more thing this weekend and we'll be all done, I think. Just wait until all those people we've house-sat for realize how many valuables of theirs we've stolen... they won't be asking us anymore. Eating healthy Wednesday, January 10, 2007 |
I'm not going to go into too much detail, but Jeff and I are trying to live healthier lives. We're eating better and exercising a whole lot more (we've gone to the gym 3 days in a row, which has to be a record for us). I think I'm enjoying it more than Jeff is, but hopefully he'll warm up to it.
Hope everyone is having a fabulous new year! Labels: goings-on posted by Kerri on Wednesday, January 10, 2007
Christmas Eve Monday, December 25, 2006 |
At the Mundle House for Christmas Eve, we played a fun game called Quelf. In this particular challenge, Kerri's uncle Matt had to sing a certain phrase in the styles of rap, country, opera and gospel.

Christmas Party Time Sunday, December 24, 2006 | Last night was the night of our friend Stephanie's Christmas Party, held at her house. I am not normally a fan of Christmas as opposed to other holidays since it always seemed a little sad and lonely, but I've been warming up to it as of late. I don't know where my social anxiety comes from, but it's nice to let down my guard every once in a while and have some good conversations with friends. Both Kerri and my mothers came, as well as Kerri's sister (Megan) and my niece (Tristan). Although I still feel a little down around the holidays, events like these help to make me enjoy them a whole lot more.
