I'm so excited! We're going to London! We'll be leaving May 31 and flying home on June 9th. I finally got my passport back last week. It took
forever even though we paid to have it expedited. I think the federal government scammed me... But we're excited! We'll post lots of pictures I'm sure.

This weekend we went to Rocky Point to visit Rick (Jeff's brother). His family is living in Rocky Point while they are adopting three beautiful girls. We met them for the first time today, and we fell in love! Aracely, Itzel, and Angeles are their names, and they are simply delightful. They speak very little English, so it's hard for me to speak to them but I got by ok. I was remembering more and more high school Spanish as the day went on!

Poor Nova Sunday, May 06, 2007 |
Our Nova was broken into this Friday night. They wrenched open the door and bent the frame. So now when the door is closed, the top part sticks out two inches. They tore out the stereo. And destroyed the molding all around it. They tried to steal the car, and tore off the horn (that's the horn lying on the floor in the picture).
I don't understand people. I mean, it's not the nicest car, so why would you steal from people who are obviously not well-to-do?
Jerks.

A couple of users on Digg.com post the code needed to decrypt HD-DVDs in order to rip them to hard drives and (presumably) share movies over the internet. Digg moderators take the comment down and suspend the account of the initial author. The Digg community goes apeshit and begins to Digg each and every HDkey-related story and bury all others. As of right now, all the top 70 or so stories on the site involve the key.
An interesting study on the fragile relationship between user-written sites and their contributors.
